Pokemon Go Radar 2018

Att ansluta Pokémon GO till Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! eller Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!

This week… another short episode. And the tangents go wild, while a wild Pokémon runs. We caught it all, but that one! New events coming up, GO Fest on it’s way, and making sure everyone know’s how to properly Bug Out.It’s been a while. Sorry everyone. So this will be similar to our GO Fest podcast where all the news is old, but we’re really here to have fun and conversation. So tune in. Let us know what you think abou what we think, and most of all… have FUN!

This week… Matt has pregnancy brain; picks the wrong mic settings. So does Roxy, because the countdown is real. We’re Punchdrunk with Niantic’s newest partnership. And Roxy runs down the clock on her cellphone contract. What will she upgrade her phone to next?
Shh! Bean’s sleeping. But we still got this week’s episode completed. October’s just around the corner, and hopefully, so is Pokémon HOME! Did anyone catch who’s on Chopped now? Stay tuned to find out! Events past, present, and future… all we can do is hang on for the ride. So strap in for another episode so we can keep you up to date. And we may be watching the Food Network as we record. Missed events, events upcoming, and so much fun announced by The Pokémon Company. Can you keep up? We’ll just need to float through it and keep the laughter coming.A shorty but a goody with doggos hiding from fireworks. Happy Canada Day! GO Fest incoming, Special Research on the way, a quick dip into the data mine, and Silph Arena’s Catacomb Cup coming in July.

PokéBean stirring, and a little info for events upcoming. Here’s hoping for a ton with Community Day coming, and us to get smoked with news from Niantic this week! We’re here still. This week’s an oldy, but a goody. Recorded after GO Fest, so the news is quite dated, but… is the news really what you’re here for? Or is it the shenanigans? We’re back! Getting caught up on life events, and Pokémon GO of course. And then JoltSw1tch runs a master class on ”how to edit with a baby in your arms.”

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are preaching to the choir in another amazing episode! Back in 2017 a couple of LAPD cops were fired because they ignored calls for backup to play Pokémon GO. They appealed their firing and it was finally decided that their appeal would be rejected. They may have caught the Snorlax they were after, but they also caught unemployment. Players in Vietnam have been severely abusing the Wayfarer system to get a massive cluster of stops in a single area. It’s hard to be certain the number of stops but it appears to there are over 40 stops and 3 gyms in a single cluster. Redditor YinSoMo reported the Wayfarer manipulation and is now getting bullied over it. Niantic has sent out emails looking for feedback on the raid system. It has definitely gotten quite stale. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another amazing episode, but get ready for some salt. Niantic is digging their heels in on negative changes. They have reduced incense back to a 60 minute duration instead of 90 minutes. It’s pretty clear that Niantic is ignoring the community’s ire with their changes to incense, increased remote raid pass cost, etc. It’s never a good sign when a video game company starts nickel and diming players while ignoring their feedback. GO Fest is right around the corner and the guys will be meeting with some of the community members in Atlanta. It should be a great time. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here defending themselves from trolls. Charles especially has been surrounded by trolls. Should shadow Mewtwo have it’s shiny available? I think the general consensus is that yes, it should be available in shiny form. This past community day Niantic made it so the middle evolution (Skiploom) spawned in parks. A lot of people missed this is in the community day announcement, but we are excited for this change in the future. It means we can get a ton of XL candy on community day. Apex Shadow Lugia and Apex Shadow Ho-Oh will be part of the Pokémon GO Tour: Johto event. This reveal has tipped Charles’ hand and finally made him want to participate in the event. Niantic is giving us a preparation event where we can stock up on balls. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!
Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another amazing episode! We got some fantastic listener responses this week even though Charles was mostly trolling. Niantic is overloading December with events and trying everything they can to nickel and dime the players during events. Many of the paid bonuses would have been included as part of the event by default in the past. Niantic has announced the community day schedule through the beginning of February. Niantic has added Bahasa Indonesia language support and is running an event in Indonesia to celebrate. The Hoenn starters are having their megas debuted this month ahead of the Hoenn themed Pokémon GO tour. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back, but not at their regularly scheduled time. Due to scheduling issues, they had to record on Tuesday instead of their normal Thursday night. If you run into a wild Stantler, don’t look it in the eyes. This past weekend was the usual December double community day, but it seems like a fair number of players seem to have skipped it. Niantic posted a recap of 2021 and it has quite a few interesting factoids. The next community day will be Spheal, but it seems lackluster considering we are currently getting a bunch of Spheal in the current event. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with a crazy fun episode full of shenanigans! Dragonite Con is just around the corner and we’re super excited about that. Find us in the basement of the Hilton if you are there. The World Championships are here and with it a new timed research. We are #TeamJellicent, how about you? Don’t be a Charles; use your daily adventure incense because it is full of good stuff. Niantic needs to make it so people can reject gifted tickets. They probably won’t though because that would mean less tickets would get sold. Trainers level 37+ are now able to submit PokéStop nominations. We think that Niantic really needs to incentivize more people to review nominations though. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Error 404: Charles not found. Joe is randomly joined by KittenNHigh5s for another fantastic episode. GO Fest Seattle is in our rearview mirror; from everything we’ve seen online it was a stellar event. The ultra unlocks are decent, but Joe was hoping for more. They’re not bad per se, but they aren’t super exciting either. Niantic has given us a preview for August and part of that preview includes a GO Fest finale event. We don’t know any details so far, but wouldn’t it be awesome if Arceus was available? Niantic has added a new item for daily use – adventure incense. This new incense has the potential to spawn rare Pokémon including the Galarian legendary bird trio, but you have to be moving pretty quick to make the most of this incense. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe back with another snarky episode full of witty comments and Pokémon GO news! Hoppip community day?!? Hoppip? Really Niantic? Of all the Pokémon to choose from… sigh. February is looking to be jammed pack full of events, so perhaps they thought they could get away with a bland community day. The Johto event is shaping up to be a really nice event for those willing to buy a ticket. Charles does not want to spend $12 on a ticket, so Joe will be the man on the ground for the event. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another fantastic episode! Elite Raids were introduced, but we weren’t given any heads up on them. The experiences have been hit or miss in the community especially since it was restricted to local players only. The raids are not easy at all with the community recommending 7+ players. Youtubers hinted that there would be special spawns around the gym after defeating Hoopa Unbound, but that only seemed to be the case for some players. Niantic is not letting up with the holiday events. They have announced a Dia de Muetros event and details for part II of the Halloween event. November’s community day will feature the adorable little Teddiursa. Niantic is also updating the map data which will impact the spawning algorithm. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!
Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! A wild Rhychu has appeared! Charles and Joe are joined by Charles’ son Rhyland for a post Dragon Con / post GO Fest Finale episode! Dragon Con was amazing, but very tiring. We recommend it if you ever have a chance to go. The GO Fest Finale was fun, but Charles feels the research tasks were too simple. We have so much to look forward to this month with the new season of light. The psychic spectacular is underway and a Clefairy event will be here shortly. Roggenrola community day should be fun as well. We hope everyone has a splendid time in Pokémon GO. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another fantastic episode! We have an amazing discussion of the week even though it goes off the rails a bit. The community (especially sivillianonbace) had some amazing ideas; most of those ideas revolved around Niantic giving us more opportunities to get more pokecoins. Sivillianonbace had a wonderful idea for reworking gyms to include gym leaders. Joe and Charles brainstormed a new nest-like concept where some parks have rotating biomes. Basically, we feel that Niantic needs to do something to breathe life back into this game. Staraptor community day is a bit of a disappointment, but make sure you get some in case he gets buffed in the future. The Silph Road has done yet another deep dive study into the game and determined that the odds off getting a lucky trade by trading old Pokémon is capped at 20% for Pokémon that are 3 years old or older. New assets have been pushed into the game including a new Buzzwole sticker that Charles absolutely loves. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!
Thanks to our awesome Patrons we will keep producing and improving the Pokémon GO Podcast. With your help everyone ?catch ?em all,? and you can start by going to patreon.com/pokemongopodcast and growing your community! We thank you all, for your support, and we hope you can help us serve you better as the show continues to grow and evolve.Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are joined by the delightful Rob Roberts! Do you know what time it is? It is time for… Awkward silence! Hijinks aside, this proved to be a most enjoyable episode full of information and witty banter. The massive 2 day December community day has become Niantic’s Christmas tradition. We’re sad that the prime hunting time is still limited to 3 hours each day, but Niantic is not known for making wise decisions that benefit the community. This sentiment is shown by the severe lack of rare candy XL players obtained during the Hoenn mega raid day. Niantic also seems lackadaisical when it comes to privacy for players using Campfire. We have a predictable ice themed event coupled with the less predictable Vivillon release. Getting all 18 forms of Vivillon will drive the completionists insane. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back for all the madness! Niantic has finally added mega legendary Pokémon to the game, but that also means it will take about 8 people to safely win. May community day is meh, but we talked about it that last week. An awesome Snorlax car was spotted and it could be yours for the low low price of a PSA shadowless base set Charizard card. Tickets for the in person GO Fest follow-up event in Berlin are now available, but Niantic has decided to have a bunch of additional options with extra fees. Niantic, if the tickets are already ?25+, why are you doing these money grabs? All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!
Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Happy Thanksgiving everyone. This special episode was recorded right after Pokemon Go Fest in July 2022. Charles was recording a different project with Dennis Robinson when Dennis asked about the go fest experience. You get a good look into the span of experiences for the fest, and a deeper talk about why we play. On top of that they hit some topics of where Niantic is going vs where the community wants to go. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Filling in for Charles this week is the one and only CoachKev413! He was nervous to be on the podcast, but did a fantastic job. Joe and CoachKev413 have a great discussion about past in person events and what makes them great. They both agree that the game is so much better when you are playing with people you know. We are currently in the water festival and if you are lucky you can get yourself a Lapras with a scarf (even though it’s really a bowtie). Niantic has made an interactive map to show people where the in-person community day events are taking place. Tickets for GO Fest: Sapporo have gone on sale and they include the optional bonuses just like Berlin did. This is a troubling trend where Niantic seems to be trying to milk more money out of the players. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles is running without Joe tonight. It’s open line discord and Coach Kev jumps in to hang out with Charles. They cover some adventures of the week and Charles chases some wild thoughts that get off-topic. But then they come back with some headlines that keeps the filthy casual more in course . And Joe pops into chat ever so briefly to make sure everything is going as it should. No crazy party here.

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another fantastic episode, so sit back, relax, and enjoy! We discuss new regions and regional forms. Underwater adventures seem to be popular right now, so how about an Atlantis themed region with new regional forms that have adapted to that environment? We see some interesting data regarding legendary IVs. It makes sense based on statistics, but most of your legendary Pokémon will end up with IVs between 80%-88%. Scarlet and Violet are upon us and we’re getting new avatar items based on the new games. Charles and Joe don’t really care for avatar items, but we’re sure someone enjoys them. A new theory has come up surrounding the Galarian birds – they might spawn in specific locations. We’ll
have to keep an eye out to see if that theory has any validity. The special spawns after elite raids are still broken. When will Niantic get their act together? We have heard about another player getting accosted while playing the game. Please be careful out there. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!
Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back at the normal time with another fantastic episode! Charles takes us all to church with a Pokémon sermon of epic proportions. Will 2022 be your year in Pokémon GO? It is what you want it to be. We don’t know what to expect with the Season of Heritage other than it being somewhat Johto themed. The devs haven’t given us much to work with, but we are loving some of the promotional artwork they are using. India is getting a lot of new gyms and stops over the next 5-ish weeks, so kudos to them. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another fantastic episode! 2022 is in our rearview mirror and Niantic seems pretty happy with the events that took place which likely means they are happy with their bottom line. Larvitar is coming back for community day classic, but it almost seems sad that we are more excited for the repeats than the new community days. Have they gotten worse or are just getting more jaded? A new event called the Twinkling Fantasy is coming up which will feature dragon and fairy type Pokémon. Niantic is doing a sweepstake where one lucky winner will win a pair of shoes. We wish that we could sort our friend gifts by location. GBL classic is going away, so we discuss the ramifications with that decision. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another amazing episode! Joe finally caught a Hisuian Growlithe in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Arcanine is a good doggo. Speaking of Hisuian forms, we have a brand new Hisuian event that will debut some new Hisuian forms: Growthlithe, Qwilfish, and Sneasel. Niantic is organizing meet and greets with a bunch of content creators for the Seattle GO Fest. Galarian Zigzagoon will be the next community day Pokémon and Charles has dubbed shiny Obstagoon the ”Kid Rock” Pokémon. They haven’t given us any details about Buzzwole being at GO Fest, but he has been included in the promo art for the Seattle GO Fest. We have some great suggestions for the game from The Silph Road community such as Niantic adding more in game for us to explore and incense having boosted rates while stationary if there is a weather warning in game. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Joe is out sick today so the best Charles could get on short notice was Dennis as played by a magicarp. It is a bit disconcerting at first but eventually that little magicarp evolved into a full grown podcaster! Of course the episode flows differently with out Joe but the boys hit a number of good discussions about the new pokemon, the real world events, and even the dirty hippie everything that is coming our way. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back for another amazing episode! Who’s your favorite monkey Pokémon? Zarude seems quite popular and Rillaboom has an awesome design. Stufful community day is upon us and the guys are planning to meet up in person. Will the slurpee machines be working? Only time will tell. Niantic is adding event pokestops in various Asia-Pacific locations, but we’re a bit confused what the purpose is beyond collecting the postcards. Niantic is doing a Hawaii trip giveaway; we entered, but likely won’t win. The odds are not in our favor. Niantic is giving out tips for community day. Has the game always given level 40+ trainers increased odds at getting XL candy from catches? All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another fantastic episode! Charles makes sure to get in his weekly hate of all things Eevee. Charles is on the drama train lately and just wants to stir up some controversy, so even though a majority of people said sticker don’t matter on gifts he had to take the opposite opinion. We got a question on reddit about the Dual Catchmon, but we have no experience with that device. We did our best to speculate on the answer though. This weekend is the GO Fest Finale and it is shaping up to be a pretty nice event. Fully evolved community day Pokémon that spawn from adventure incense appear to have their community day moves. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back together for an amazing episode! Guzzlord may eat trash, but we’re not sure if even he could stomach the garbage Niantic has been putting out lately. First Zorua’s CP was all messed up so it had to be disabled. Then if you caught Zorua with the GO+ it would be your buddy instead of Zorua, so Niantic made it so trainers couldn’t use their GO+. Due to this they have also had to ban Giratina from great league. Niantic seems to hate the GO+ since it constantly has issues most likely because they don’t bother testing with it. They have now fixed the recent GO+ issues, but that isn’t the end of their issues this past week. During the Dia De Los Muertos event lure modules were nerfed so that Pokémon spawned 3x slower. We hope that was an accident, because if it was deliberate then Niantic is super scummy. Niantic hasn’t added many features to Campfire yet, so it doesn’t have much appeal yet. The ultra beast Guzzlord will be making its debut this month. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another fantastic episode! Don’t get too vengeful or your house will be haunted by Shuppet. Niantic is leaning heavily into the holiday season with a bunch of ghost Pokémon themed events. Before all of that though, we are still in the first bits of the season of light with the Evolving Stars event. Soon Cosmog will be able to evolve into Cosmoem. This has been a weird staggered release, but then again Cosmog does evolve into legendary Pokémon. Niantic has reassured us that we will be able to catch more Cosmog in the future. More generation 9 Pokémon have been teased including a very strange Diglett offshoot called Wiglett. A community member may have found a way to improve catch rate, but it involves throwing away balls. Niantic has unveiled a new AR gaming debuting next year that focuses on Marvel comics heroes. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another podcast episode for your listening pleasure! What makes a good friend? Does a good friend regularly send/open gifts? Or are they there when you most need them during a raid? Regardless of your answer, we all know that Charles is a bad friend in-game. Though IRL he’s pretty fantastic as a friend. Have you ever wanted to play Pokémon GO with just the sound of your voice? Then you might want to take a look at your accessibility settings because that is definitely possible. Helioptile has joined the game along with a myriad of other electric-type Pokémon spawns. Take a look at this beautiful Christmas concept for the overworld of the game (see notes below). For some reason, all trades were lucky trades for a short while, but Niantic has completely disabled trades while they investigate. A bunch of images from Pokémon Legends Arceus have leaked which has hyped a ton of people. Will you be getting the game? All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with a relaxing, casual episode that is more like NPR than high energy Arceus preacher. El_Gringo_Suave is calling it quits with Pokémon GO. We’d love to say this is a rare occurrence, but we are seeing this same story all too frequently these days. Niantic has made a lot of poor decisions this year, but what are your ideas on how Niantic could improve? The season of light is here with a Steel-type event which debuts some new region locked ultra beasts. The newest boxes are super lackluster and not really worth the coins at all. The next couple of research breakthroughs have been announced, but we long for a return of the days when we got legendaries from those boxes. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another fantastic episode! Charles keeps thinking green looks purple. We have an interesting debate on whether or not Niantic should turn the shiny rate up to 11 during paid events. We see the merits of both, but also offer a couple of compromises. Niantic is running a contest that will allow 5 people to get a temporary pokestop for 6 months for their community. Once again Niantic is failing to communicate properly. They made it so stops at certain parks and universities gave extra items during community day, but they only gave us a single day notice. What is going on with Niantic lately? They seem to be shooting from the hip. Players are still mad at Niantic for the incense changes and now this. Niantic has made it so Pokémon go cannot be played in Russia, but who is it actually targeting? All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another amazing episode! The Pokémon Company has released more details for the Pokémon GO Championship Series along with dates and locations for qualifiers. We wish the best to any of you brave enough to participate. Niantic has not updated Pokémon GO based on OSM for 3 years. Why Niantic? Why? A lot of things can change in 3 years especially considering the game isn’t even 6 years old yet. Please update our maps. Don’t bother trading Pokémon if they don’t have a caught location because the distance of the trade is bugged. Valentine’s Day is almost here, so of course, we get an event for the occasion. In addition to getting pink Pokémon, we are also getting Pokémon pairs and Flabébé. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!
Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back for another rivetting episode! These two are a double threat: witty and informational. The discussion this week revolves around ways Niantic could improve the game. We all know Niantic needs a win after all the bad PR they’ve gotten over the past few months. Perhaps they should stop removing things from the game… Niantic also has a new AR game coming out, but it looks like a knock off buddy system from Pokémon GO. Needless to say, we’re not impressed. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe may have missed a week, but they are back and better than ever. The Johto event was almost 2 weeks ago and we’ve seen a mixed reaction to it. Some people really liked it, while others felt it was pretty lackluster. During paid events like this should Niantic crank up the shiny rate to super high levels? Would that make the event better? Or just make shinies lose a bit of value? Niantic has sent us a horde of new Alolan Pokémon. It was pretty nice seeing quite a few shadows on our radar. Niantic seems to be pulling out all the stops to get players playing the way they think the game should be played. They tweaked incense mechanics with very little warning even though they explicitly told us they would give us at least a month’s warning. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another fantastic episode! Niantic had some serious server issues at the start of this past community day. Players worldwide had issues connecting to the game. July is another callback to Kanto. As much as we love generation 1, Niantic has been leaning far too heavily on the original 151 lately. The July community day Pokémon is going to be Starly, but that does little to fill us with excitement. The six-year anniversary event only seems so-so. The location-specific GO Fests are just around the corner, Joe is predicting a new ultra beast will be released at each one. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another fantastic episode full of silliness and serious discussion. Niantic seems hellbent on reverting Pokémon GO back to how the game was played back in 2019. This time they have reverted community day back to a 3 hour window. They have made some dubious claims about trainers specifically requesting community day only be 3 hours. They also cite some statistics from a very small sample size. All in all, people are questioning their motive and whether or not they actually care about the opinions of players. Some new flower crown assets have been pushed to the backend of the game, so of course Charles is thrilled. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another incredible episode full of amazingness! The best fire puppy in world is featured on the new loading screen and it is adorable. The gents speculate on what 2022 will hold for Pokémon GO and are really hoping that Niantic has some great tricks of their sleeves. Speaking of Niantic, they seem to be leaning heavily into the season of heritage with a new mountain themed event. Mega Aerodactyl is actually pretty good for raids, but it’s a pretty substantial resource investment to only save 5-10 seconds on your raids. Helioptile and Carbink are coming our way, but when. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles is flying solo tonight, so prepare yourself for a fantastic ride! Niantic tried to sneak in Zorua as a surprise for spotlight hour, but completely botched it. They’ve been struggling something fierce with updates lately. Halloween is just about here. What Pokémon do you consider the scariest? Another set of Pokémon GO players are making headlines; back in 2018 they had a physical altercation over a gym. The verdict on the case was decided this week. Stay safe out there. A redditor by the name duskyxlops has a beautiful mock-up for a Christmas/Holiday overworld design. Reminder that Amazon Prime members can collect monthly codes for items. A new sticker update is coming and it looks like it will help us traverse our huge list of stickers much faster. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another amazing episode! We know we’ve been pretty negative about everything Niantic has been taking away lately; we’re going to try to provide a more balanced show moving forward instead of just bashing on Niantic. The new Pikachu with his bowtie evokes thoughts of Dr. Who. GO Fest Berlin came and went. We hope everyone who went had a wonderful time, but we don’t actually have any firsthand accounts of the event. The 6th anniversary event is upon us and we’re hoping it lives up to the hype because lately the events have been a touch underwhelming. Niantic is pairing with Campfire to introduce features Brian Ibbott suggested several years ago. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are a bit tired, but they suck it up for a great show! Our listeners show a ton of love for shiny Rayquaza this week. All I can say is ditto. That’s what Niantic says too since Ditto will be the main Pokémon for a short April Fools Day event. Go catch that derp face. Niantic has officially announced the dates for GO Fest – June 4th and 5th. It will be a global event and it appears there may not be a real-world event on those two days. However, Niantic has announced that there will be some in-person GO Fest events in 3 different cities between July and early August. Community Day classic is showing up again this time in the form of Mudkip. A new APK tear-down suggests Niantic is going to be doing a bit of an overhaul with how Megas work. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another superb episode! The guys got together for community day which made it an epic occasion of epicness. Niantic has released more details about GO Fest and it’s got us pretty excited. It will feature multiple regionals like Torkoal and Tropius. It will also feature some other exciting Pokémon like Axew. The mythical Pokémon for GO Fest will be Shaymin. May’s community day Pokémon will be Alolan Geodude, but that’s not super exciting. Niantic is making some much-needed changes to mega evolution mechanics like only needing to spend mega energy once to unlock the mega evolution. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!
Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Joe is flying solo in this episode, but still handles it like a boss. Niantic seems to have completely forgotten that Pokémon GO is a game. Where is the fun, Niantic? Raid day had an ”issue” where it started at 11am and lasted for 6 hours. Niantic should just make all of our ”day” events like raid days and community days be 6 hours by default. Niantic has announced part 1 of the Halloween event, but they are including not 1, but 2 paid ticketed parts of the event. It’s almost like they are trying to increase their profits after the community has voted with their wallets. Maybe they should just give us back the features that they took away. Chandelure with Poltergeist is weaker than Chandelure with Shadow Ball. I suspect Poltergeist will get buffed. It’s hard to take GBL seriously with all the lag/latency issues it has. If you do partake in PvP, we have an interesting infographic with meta trend data. The Silph Road collected data to determine how rare Ditto are. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with episode 300!!!! The game has been around for almost 6 years and we’ve had a blast playing it. We may not always like what Niantic is doing with the game, but the community is fantastic. This episode was a special call in show that featured wonderful people like Devocite, TougasRose27, ImaginaryNomad, Dennis, and more. We are looking forward to what the future brings and hope to bring even better episodes in the future. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast Season 2 Episode 1! As with any new season, changes are made and Joe didn’t make the cut. But a returning superstar celebrity is filling in. That’s right Tara Sands has decided to become a permanent part of the team. Brian Ibbott gusts stars in this action-packed explosive first episode. What do you mean that was a fever dream? Joe is just out sick? Tara never was there? Tell me Ibbott is real… Ugh, I have got to cut back on my stardust use.

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with another gut-busting episode full of laughter and information. Niantic is starting to release some details about the PokémonGO Tour in specific areas which includes the cancellation of the GO Tour in Abu Dhabi due to the current situation there. We find that a wise decision and pray the issues get resolved quickly. With the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus we are starting to see some of the Hisui Pokémon pop up in Pokémon GO in the form of Voltorb. He used to be happy. What happened to make Voltorb so angry? Niantic is rolling out the Lunar New Year event and it should be a good one. Niantic is teaming up with The Pokémon Company to release an expansion for the TCG centered around Pokémon GO. Wayfarer will now require users to take a test to add submission and Ingress players will need to take it as well in the future. All of that incredible content, and of course YOUR feedback and comments!
Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another amazing episode! Charles has been super busy with IRL madness, but Joe has been busy in game nabbing shinies and raiding away. Special shoutout to ThunderMuffin for the invites that got Joe a couple of shiny Braviary. It seems like we’ve been talking about GO Fest most of the year and this episode is continuing that trend. Sapporo has wrapped up and the finale is coming up at the end of the month. We are currently surround by bugs and the world championships are also upcoming. It will be interesting to see the coverage for the world championship and how well it is received by the community. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back with another raucous episode! We spend a long time on this episode talking about money with the main premise being vote with your wallet. Niantic has had a really rough year, but it’s mostly been self inflicted. The have angered a significant portion of the community by taking away features we have been using for about 2 years. The new boxes are trash and Niantic hasn’t made any impressive innovations lately. The community has definitely taken the mantra vote with your wallet to heart this year. This is shaping up to be Niantic’s least profitable year since 2018. We also discuss a lawsuit between a player and a police department due to their seemingly overzealous actions while the player was in a park playing Pokémon GO. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!

Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are joined by the amazing ThunderMuffin2277! 2022 had a lot of great moments on the show and decent moments in game, but our favorite moments were interacting with listeners. Unfortunately 2022 was not great for ThunderMuffin2277. Last episode we scratched the surface of his digital stalker, but we learn a lot more about the depravity this person resorts to. The story gets pretty uncomfortable and we hope ThunderMuffin2277 can figure out some way to stop to the behavior. We also briefly discuss the upcoming events for the next two weeks. Then the podcast takes a very big tone shift. Charles gives us a run down of our Spotify year end review. We cannot contain our laughter when he starts playing with AI art. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!
Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are here with some salty commentary. We have a super good conversation about what Niantic should add to the game. Popular sentiments include reworking how regional Pokémon are handled, reworking the the gym system, and adding a ready button to raid lobbies. Litwick community day is going to be amazing. Chandelure is epic though we wish the shiny had different colored flames; we think black flames would be amazing. Several new Pokémon are dropping for fashion week along with several new costumes… Charles is so thrilled. Shiny Furfrou is getting released as well, but we’re unimpressed with the various hair styles. This is nothing new, but Niantic is still deceiving us when it comes to hatch rates on Pokémon. It’s pretty scummy. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Niantic may be dropping the ball, but Charles and Joe are back with a gut busting episode! Players in Ukraine were locked out of Pokémon GO for several days. The players tried contacting Niantic support through many different avenues, but it took a post on reddit making to the top of The Silph Road for Niantic to take action. Gimmieghoul has been turning pokestops gold and running around the map, but is not catchable yet. We don’t know if he is only possible to catch by linking Scarlet and Violet to Pokémon GO, but that is definitely one possible way to catch him in the near future. The greedy gluttons event is underway so keep an eye out for various competitive eaters popping up on your screen. Team rocket is taking over your screen. Make sure to TM Frustration off of your Teddiursa before community day so you can get a shadow Ursaluna with the community day move. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments! Welcome to Pokémon GO Podcast! Charles and Joe are back again for another fantastic episode! GO Fest is just around the corner and Niantic appears to be trying to nickel and dime us more and more. They have new t-shirts for GO Fest, but personally we think the design is a bit lacking. The website for their merch is also lacking. The season of alola is coming to an end with a finale event that costs $5 (a bit more than a nickel). Amazon Prime is partnering with Pokémon GO to provide some rewards to Pokémon GO players. Niantic is updating in-person raids and have made remote raiding more costly. The 1 pokecoin bundles will no longer have remote raid passes and they’ve increased the cost of remote raid passes. Next week Charles will be running things without Joe, but he’s opening it up to patrons to call in. All of that incredible content, and of course your feedback and comments!I kölvattnet av framgångarna för Nintendos mobilspel Pokémon Go har nu flera andra utvecklare lyckats ta sig högt upp på appbutikernas listor över mest nedladdade appar.
